"In general I am a fan of Sports Clips. They give a superior cut to the other Franchise places and offer a few extras like hot towel treatment, shampoo (so you don't have all those annoying stupid hairs everywhere after your cut) and shoulder massage. Of course this all comes at a slightly higher cost in the $24 MVP package. They also have Sports Center on all the time which is a welcome distraction. The ladies are always friendly and seem to take pride in their work. I really do prefer their cut to the others because they take their time and use more precision in my opinion. For comparison, on cut alone at Great Clips, my cut takes them about 7 minutes. At Sports Clips they easily spend 15-20 on my cut and keep notes for future visits. I have never walked away unsatisfied with the quality of cut. With that said, this location wasn't great for other reasons. I used online check-in which showed a 0 minute wait but when I arrived while at the top of the list, I had a 19 minute wait and two others were already getting their hair cuts. That's fine. I know they aren't going to wait for me just because I checked in online. However, while waiting the one girl was telling her customer how she was just sitting down to eat when he had walked in and only had one bite of her sandwich. And now they are super busy with 4 people waiting so she didn't know when she would be able to eat. Then when finished up she went to he back for several minutes and only came back when the other girl couldn't figure out how to ring up a coupon for her customer. They fought with that for a few minutes then both went to the back for several more minutes while myself and 4 others were waiting. They then came back and swept up before finally calling me and another guest over. My girl then told me how it was dead all day and now was super was all just very off putting and the waiting an additional 15 minutes past the 19 was unnecessary. I want people to get their breaks and lunch and all but don't say how it was dead and then complain when you didn't eat or whatever once it gets busy. But again, she was nice and did a great job on the cut. She did forget to do the shoulder/neck massage with the MVP package I paid for it by that point I had already been in the building for nearly an hour and decided not to mention it. I should note that this was between 3-4p which seems like a peak time. I think this was more of a staffing issue since they only had two people working. One more may have fixed the issues. All in all, I probably won't go back to this location but it is the closest to me. I think I'd rather go a bit further to have a smoother visit."

"Mary is top rate with the clippers. I've been to many barbers in Pittsburgh and she can do fades with the best of them! Waiting can be busy at this location , so try to do the check in ahead of arrival."

"Stopped by last night for a last minute haircut for my son. It was late (near closing time) but the stylist was pleasant and gave him a quality haircut. It took longer to checkout than it should have because they couldn't get the fingerprint scanner to work and there was no override code. I felt bad for the stylists. They both tried multiple times (2 customers in salon waiting to pay) to get the scanner to read their prints. I would recommend either that they have a manager code to override the fingerprint or work on improving the system. Other than the payment process, this was a good experience for us."

"I bought my husband a gift card to sports clips for Father's Day. I went to this location, even though my husband usually doesn't prefer this one and now I see why. I paid for the $24 package, and waited about 10 minutes for the other girl who knew how to do gift cards to be done. She specifically told me this card could be used at any location, and when my husband looked at the card before getting his haircut it actually couldn't be used at any location. Also, when he went to get his haircut.. he opted for the $20 haircut which cuts a few services out. When he got to the register, he was originally charged the $20 until they saw it was a gift card for $24 and then they charged him the extra $4 even though the services were not complete. Absolutely ridiculous, don't waste your money here."
